Minnie Marchel, 75, Dies Here Sunday

Mrs. Minnie Marchel, 75, died at the Greater Community hospital here at 10:45 p. m. Sunday after a lengthy illness. She had moved to Creston last May but had lived in Madison and Union counties all her life. Her home here was at 404 New York avenue.

Funeral services will be held at Coens Home for Funerals at 2 p. m. Tuesday. Rev. Francis L. Brockman pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be at the King cemetery in Madison county. Her body will lie in state at the funeral home until time of the services. The casket will not be opened after the services.

Minnie Little was born in Madison county, April 2, 1882. She was the daughter of John H. and Mary Jean Allen Little. She was married at Winterset, in 1916, to Sigel Marchel, who receded in in death in 1934.

Mrs. Marchel is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Benedict of Creston and Mrs. Flora J. Weed of Lamoni.

Funeral Today for Minnie Marchel

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Marchel, a resident of Madison and Union counties all of her life, who died late Sunday evening at the Greater Community hospital after a lengthy illness, were held at 2 p. m. today at Coens Home for Funerals. Rev. Robert Swick officiated. Burial was in King cemetery, near Winterset. Organ music was by Mrs. Reed Kline.
