Judge Hoke Edmondson of Monroe died Jan. 25, 1992 in Snellville following a brief illness. He was 81.
The son of the late William T. Edmondson and Frances Clegg Edmondson, he was born July 31, 1910. A native and life-long resident of Walton County, he was retired from the Monroe-Walton Mill. He was a member of Walker Park Baptist Church and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the D.A.V.
Funeral services were held Jan. 27 in the Chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Pulliam and the Rev. Donnie Pennington officiating. Interment was in Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Bobby Garrison, Steve Mitchell, Steve Peters, Todd Saxton, Randy Saxton and Kevin Laseter. Members of the D.A.V. and National Guard Battery B served as honorary escorts.
He is survived by his wife: Ruby Garrison Edmondson; daughters: Mrs. Dan (Gwendolyn) Saxton of Winder and Mrs. Virlyn (Brenda) Mobley of Monroe; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Arthur Bowick Inc., Funeral Directors were in charge of the arrangements.
