Mr. LaRue

Emmers Ted LaRue, 44, 2718 Maple Rd., died at 5:05 p.m. Sunday in a Rome hospital following an extended illness.

Mr. LaRue was born in Floyd County, June 14,1937, son of Mary Hick LaRue and the late J.D. LaRue and resided his entire life here. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He had served with the U.S. Air Force and prior to ill health was manager of Byars Decorating Company.

Survivors are his widow, the former Juanita Burton, in whom he was married Dec. 23, 1960, three sons, John Mark LaRue, Wesley Paul LaRue and Joseph Don LaRue, all of Rome, his mother, Mrs. Mary Goss, Rome;one brother, Joseph Ned LaRue, Waycross, one sister, Mrs. Glenda Jane Boyd, San Antonio, Texas,;several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hollywood Baptist Church with the Revs. Harvey Brown, Wayne Hamrick and Willard Macallaster officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Granger and Herman Poe, James Studdard, Max Carver, Robert Byars and Ronald Wallace.
