LAKELAND, FL- Wilfred E. Lemieux, 86, passed away on Sunday August 16, 2010, in Lakeland, FL. He was the husband of the Gloria (Hanson) Lemieux.
Born in Caribou, ME on February 4, 1924, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Edith (Peterson) Lemieux Sr. He served in the US Army during WWII. After retiring from Pratt & Whitney he moved to Florida where he resided for the last 20 years. He was a history buff, enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling the country in his camper.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters Nancy and her husband Michael Mala of Southington, Norma and her husband Robert Liebler of Plainville, 12 grandchildren Lauren and Philip Serafino, Nicholas and his wife Jacqueline Liebler, Katherine and Christopher Mala, Hanna and her husband Michael Veach, Martha, Leah, Kaya and Simeon Liebler, Sarah and David Kramer, 6 great grandchildren Stella, Sienna, Shaelin, McKenzie, Braydon and Julian and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two wives Leona (Dee) Lemieux , Katherine "Kay" (Pulkownick) (Mazon) Lemieux, and a sister Hazel Panatone.
Funeral Services will be Saturday 9AM at First Baptist Church 581 Meriden Ave. in Southington. Burial with full military honors will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 7 PM at DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington.
