John Grover Owens born September 7, 1892 son of George Owens and Mattie Sweat Owens, Husband of the late Hettie Lee Dill Owens died April 14, 1971 after a sudden illness. He was a retired carpenter.
Survived by three daughters Eva Lee Martin, Margaret Drake, and Lucille Owens. Also survived by two sons John Richard, and George Owens Sr. and two grandsons raised in the home George Everette Owens Jr. and Allen Owens.
