Mattie Laura Puckett Owens wife of the late John Richard Owens died September 11, 1993 in Laurens SC at the home of her daughter after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Union SC November 3, 1921 the daughter of John Puckett and Minnie Callahan Puckett.
She is survived by two daughters Cathy Owens, Sara Owens Jones, and a son Gary Owens and 7 grandchildren Angie Jones Rice, John Gary Owens Jr, David Jones, Jeff Owens, Tina Owens, Erin Kernell, Alison Kernell.
She is also survived by a sister Betty Puckett Tollison, and brothers Donald Puckett, and Robert Puckett.
