ANNISTON - Graveside services for James Clarence Boggs, 82, of Anniston will be 3:00 p.m. today at Anniston Memorial Gardens with Dr. Billy Harris officiating and Anniston Memorial Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 at the funeral home prior to the service. Mr. Boggs died Friday at NHC Healthcare after a long illness.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Coates Boggs of Anniston; his children, Cynthia Boggs, of Anniston, Amy Humphries and her husband, Donnie, of Oxford, Larry Parker, of Ohatchee, Mary Parker Robinson and her husband, Gene, of Anniston; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three sisters, Nadine Rankin and her husband, Randy, of Piedmont, Geneva Twilley, of Oxford, Eunice Cooley and her husband, Roy, of Georgia; sister-in-law, Margaret Goodson, of Gadsden and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Boggs was a native of Randolph County and a resident of Anniston. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II and was retired from the Alabama Power Company after 41 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Amy Lindley Boggs; his brothers, Leonard and Gerald Boggs; and sisters, Grace Dickert and Lorene Ledbetter. The family wishes to express appreciation to all those who have shown kindness in this difficult time, especially the staff at NHC Healthcare.
