Forrest F. Rice served as a Private 1st Class in the Infantry of the United States Army during World War II.

He was a son of Fredrick L. and Lillie M. Rice.

He was in the 1st Infantry Division and participated in the activities of the division in Sicily.

He was killed in action at the Normandy beachhead during the Allied invasion on D-Day, June 6, 1944.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on November 7, 1942 at Allentown, Pennsylvania.

He was originally from Reading, Pennsylvania.

He was married to Gladys M. Bair on September 29, 1942 at Reading, Pennsylvania.

He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on December 9, 1947.
