Alfred A. Augustine served as a Private 1st Class in Company B, 146th Engineer Combat Battalion, United States Army during World War II.

He was a son of Macey and Anna Augustine.

He was killed during the Allied invasion of Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on February 3, 1943 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He was originally from McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania.

He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on February 1, 1949.
