Floyd G. Rundle, 90 of Crawfordville, Fla., passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Eden Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born December 2, 1917, in LaCrosse, Wis., and grew up in Dubuque, Iowa. During World War II he served in the Battle of the Bulge with the 95th Division Military Band. After the war he earned his Master of Music Education degree at Northwestern University and returned to Dubuque to serve as Co-coordinator of music in the public schools.
Summer vacations were spent traveling the world with his Travel Agent wife, Dorothy. They visited a total of 99 different countries. After his retirement in 1983, he and his wife moved to Florida to join their daughter, Genette. They have lived there since with their Greyhound, Sadie.
His kind, cheerful, optimistic manner will be missed by all who knew him. Harvey Young Funeral Home (850-926-3333).
