Laura Ann Sitton married Samuel Fitzgerald in 1885. Eleven children were born to this union.

Mrs. Laura Ann Fitzgerald, pioneer resident of Young County died at the family home seven miles west of Graham near the Mount Plesant Community.

Mrs. Fitzgerald moved to Young County in 1884. She united with the Missionary Baptist Church at Mt. Pleasant in 1895.

Survived by: W.W. Fitzgerald, Elmo Fitzgerald, O.E. Fitzgerald, Fred Fitzgerald, Charles Fitzgerald, Mrs. Ed Reeves, Mrs. Robert McClendon, Mrs. Boyd Calloway.
