Mary Elizabeth Biglane Cagle--Born October 18, 1917, to Dr. and Mrs. T.E. Biglane of Collins, MS, a long-time resident of Jackson, MS and a resident of Mobile since 1986. Mrs. Cagle died in a local hospital on March 19, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, S.P. Cagle; three sisters, Maxine Rutland, Camille Cross and Ella May Tucker and one brother, Z.S. Biglane. Mrs. Cagle was the Pre-School Director for the Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson, MS, for many years. She was loved by young and old, never met a stranger and had a sincere interest and concern for everyone. Her yard and flower gardens were her pride and joy. She loved the Lord, her family, her neighbors and her many friends. Mrs. Cagle is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rebekah and John Butler of Mobile and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Butler of Dallas, TX; other survivors include two nieces, Barbara Ryals and Ruth Elizabeth Schaeffer; three nephews, Glen H. Cross, Kerry Tucker and John Lawrence Dykes; sister-in-law, Mildred Cagle and brother-in-law, Herbert E. Cagle, both of Jackson, MS. The family greatly appreciates the kindness of Dr. Hashimi, Dr. Boyer, Dr. Sawyer and the staff of the Cardiac Care Unit at Providence Hospital. Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 22, 2003 from the Spring Hill Avenue United Methodist Church at 12:00. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway. Minister, Rev. Dr. Hannah Garrett Johnson. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Dauphin Street Extension, Mobile, AL.
