Son of Sewell J. Gravenor and Florence Payne Gravenor.

Woodrow, who resided in New Castle County, Delaware, served as a Sergeant, 137th Infantry, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on August 8, 1941, prior to the war, in Trenton, New Jersey. He was noted as being employed as a motion picture projectionists and also as Single, with dependents.

Woodrow "Died Of Wounds" received in action in a field hospital in France during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.

He had served the Army for three years and four months at the time of his death.
