|Birth: ||Oct. 2, 1927|
|Death: ||Jan. 2, 1988|
Jerry was the only son of Elbert W. and Eula (unk) DUDLEY; they also had two daughters.
He married Bea (unk) and they had four daughters. His wife, and three daughters survived him, as well as his father and two sisters.
Jerry was a WW II Army veteran.
He was raised by pious parents and early in life he became a Christian, and then entered the ministry. He and Bea loaded up and entered ministerial studies at Nashville, TN, Free Will Baptist Bible College, in late 1940's/1950's.
His parents moved to Calif. and Jerry and Bea began a pastorate at First FWB Church in Bakersfield (Kern) CA. He pastored Tulare, CA where he saw the church grow and add members. He started a church in Oregon, and later was elected as Exec. Secretary of California FWB, where he helped edit "The Voice" their state paper. He accepted a pastorate in Okla. City, at Southern Oaks, where he built additional facility. After several years, he entered the pastorate in Stratford FWB Church and finally at Choctaw. He was always active in his denomination's work, holding positions in the district, as well as state and national. His work ended too soon, but two daughters married ministers, which made him proud; however, sadly, one daughter, Kaye, and her husband, John, who were on their itinerary for a mission assignment to Brazil, were killed in a tragic auto accident.
His health had been fragile from his heart and pancreas for some years...and many hospital stays were in his history. But he would always seem recovered, and enter eagerly again into his work.
He was always of a positive spirit, had a good personality and was a faithful friend, loved and esteemed by many.
