To this marriage was born three sons and 2 daughters.
Rev. Florence was licensed to preach in 1930, and in 1931,he was ordained to the gospel ministry by the Free Will Baptists.
He served as Evangelist for Grand River Ass'n of OK, and then as moderator for the Grand River Association.
He was the first Free Will Baptist minister to go to the Northwest Area of U.S. in 1951. He organized six FWB churches and pastored the following: (in chronological order: Oak Grove, OK; Watonga, OK; Shahan, OK; Coweta, OK; Duck Creek, at Mounds, OK; Bixby, at Bixby, OK; Broken Arrow, OK; In Idaho: he organized Buhl; In Oregon: Klamath Falls; Calif: Norwalk and Hughson; Shellenberger FWB at Bixby, OK; Guymon, Guymon, OK; and in retirement as pastor, he served as supply pastor, evangelist and mission worker. It was in Greeley, CO he was working in mission work when he went to his reward.
He was also listed in "Who's Who Among Free Will Baptists."
