Received the Queen's Jubilee Medal and the French Legion of Honour. One of 4 brothers and 1 sister, orphaned and raised by relatives, near Omemee, Peterborough, Ontario.
Joined the 93rd Battalion in Peterborough, then transferred to the 109th in Lindsay. Lied about his age so he could be with his brothers. He was transferred to the Canadian Forestry Corp when his age was found out. When he returned to Canada, he met and married his late wife,(1993) Catherine in 1936, and moved to Millwood Road in Leaside, Ontario and raised two sons, John and David. Clement worked as a railway agent for the CP Railway, started a business with his brother-in-law; was a meter reader and repairman till his 1965 retirement. Between 1993 and 2004 he still lived at his Millwood residence, baking bread and cookies. Moved to Sunnybrook in the fall of 2004 when his health failed. Also survived by a neice, Merle Kaczanowski. Burial knowledge given by a granddaughter-in-law, from Elmira, Ontario.
Also buried in this cemetery, are his wife Catherine, his parents, John and Agnes, and a brother whom died very young.
