Retired Lt. Colonel Charles T. Conner, 89, formerly of Chattanooga, TN died peacefully in his home at Air Force Village, in San Antonio, Texas on July 22, 2010.
Chuck is predeceased by his wife, Myra Trimble Conner and son, Ronald Nash Conner.
Survivors include his daughter, Jean Conner Henslee; grandson, John W. Seat II, and great-grandson, Dalton Seat.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp from 1942 - 1944 and enlisted in the Air Force later in 1944, retiring in 1980. He took great pride in being part of the 38th Bomb Group 5th Air Force as a B-25 Bomber pilot in WW II.
Chuck retired from International Harvester with 33 years of service and had been a Red Cross volunteer at Alexian Village, member of the Pensacola, Fla. chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, the Gateway Church of Christ in Pensacola, and the Military Retired Officer's Club.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Minister Steve Lusk officiating.
