Of Peabody formerly of Waltham died suddenly at his home. He was 79.
Born and raised in Waltham, beloved son of the late William and Ann (McMurrer) Creamer, Ed lived in Waltham until moving to Peabody 9 years ago.
Edward served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He attended Saint Mary's High School and was a graduate of Massachusetts Bay Community College.
Edward was a Waltham Police Officer for 32 years. He joined the force in 1956 and retired as a detective in 1988.
In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, Irish music, and going to the Irish Village on Cape Cod with his family.
He was the loving husband of the late Catherine (McShane) Creamer, brother of the late Kenneth Creamer, cherished grandfather of the late Aaron Creamer, and companion of the late June Stonkus.
Edward is survived by his loving children Steven Creamer and his wife Wendy (Mastiangioli) of Leominster, David Creamer and his wife Denise (Peters) of Attleboro, Karen Creamer Landis of Allston, Jack Creamer of Waltham, and Laurie DeDucca and her fiancÚ Tom Johnson of Berkley, his brother Frederick Creamer and his wife Anne (Mandile) of Waltham, his sister Jean Bourque of Waltham 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
