Pilot Rock - Funeral services for James Robert Harrison will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Pilot Rock Community Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Olney Cemetary, Pendleton. Harrison, who died Monday at Pendleton Community Hospital, was 78. He was a lifelong resident of the Pilot Rock area. He was born Oct. 23, 1901, at Pilot Rock, to John H. and Olive Waldron Harrison, pioneer ranchers here. He married Ruth Fletcher in 1922, at Pendleton. He was a wheat farmer until he retired in 1960. Harrison was a member of pilot Rock Community Presbyterian Church, the American Association of Retired Persons, and Pilot Rock Masonic Lodge 165.
Surviving are his wife in Pilot Rock; sons, Walace J. Pendleton and Robert K., Livingston Montana. There are five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
