Lona Elizabeth "Liz" Bladen Hall, 51, 7569 W. Jones Road, Lexington, near Chelsea, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born Nov. 7, 1954, in Mineral Wells, Texas, the daughter of William Herbert and Wanda Wynelle Coleman Bladen. She was raised in Switzerland and Jefferson counties. She was employed since Aug. 25, 2003, at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center and Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Butlerville as a secretary and accountant. She previously had worked at the Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona as an administrative support assistant from 1994 to 2002. Early in life she had worked at Jefferson Proving Ground as a personnel staffing clerk from 1991 to 1994. While living in the Brooksburg area she was a member of the Brooksburg Baptist Church and later in Vevay, the New Life Fellowship Church. She currently was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, especially Texas Hold'em, camping, fishing, crocheting, embroidery, bowling and darts.
She is survived by her twin sons, Terry Wayne Hall of Madison and Kerry Lee Hall of Dupont; two sisters, Laverne Lawson of Reno, Nev., and Anna Lamson of Kent; two brothers, Herbert Bladen of Taylorsville and Barry Bladen of Kent; one granddaughter; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Lawson, Jan. 29, 1989.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Elizabeth Renee Hall Education Trust Fund. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
