Mae Enquist was the wife of Ray Randall Johnson and later married Henry Hendrickson. Her first name is mis-spelled on the grave stone.
Mae Johnson Hendrickson died December 4 in Polson, Montana after a long illness. She was born November 7, 1908 in Clitheral, Minnesota to Bernard and June Enquist, and came to White Sulphur Springs as a child but grew up in the Dutton area. Mae married Ray Johnson in White Sulphur Springs November 14, 1931. They lived on the Johnson ranch until 1936 when they moved to Polson, Montana She was Lake County Treasurer for many years and belonged to Order of Eastern Star and Rebecca Lodge. She was preceded in death by Ray Johnson and Henry Hendrickson. Survivors include one son Ray Johnson Jr., Whitefish; three daughters Verla Martin, Townsend; Eula Mae Turnage, Helena and Bernice Peters, Polson. Also surviving are one brother Larry Enquist, Great Falls and one sister Shirley Morris, Great Falls. Nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren also survive her. Mae was a sister-in-law of Ely Johnson. Cremation has taken place and ashes will be interred next to Ray Johnson in the Mayn Cemetery at a later date.
