Ferdinand "Fred" Aregano, 89, of Syracuse died Sunday at Loretto. Born in Auburn, he lived most of his life in Syracuse . He retired in 1971 from General Motors Corp. after more than 30 years. He was a member of United Auto Workers Union Local 854. A son, Nicholas, died in 1988.
Survivors: His wife, the former Rose M. Tracito; a daughter, Rosemary Losurdo of Syracuse ; two sons, Fred Jr. of Syracuse and Michael A. of Cicero; two sisters, Antoinette Arnone of Jamestown and Anna Vaccaro of Syracuse ; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Services: 8:15 a.m. Thursday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei Church. Burial, Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse .
