Deceased Name: JAMES WARREN ADAMS

A graveside service for James Warren Adams of Gresham, a retired heavy equipment operator, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Willamette National Cemetery.

He died Wednesday in a Gresham care center of complications from a stroke. Mr. Adams was 71.

He was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Innistail, Alberta. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he had lived in the Portland area for the past 25 years.

Mr. Adams had worked for several companies, including Schwab Machine & Welding, the Paul Hardeman and Hoffman construction companies and the Howard Cooper Corp.

He married Leora Wells on July 14, 1982, in Portland.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his sons, Ronald of Agness, Bobby of Dufur, Dennis of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Art of Spokane; daughter, Christy Landucci of Fort Bragg, Calif.; stepdaughters, Glenda Slover and Debra Osborn of Spokane, Lori Maddox of Wilbur and Winnie Hughes of Portland; stepson, James H. Butler of Portland; brother, Bob of Agness; sisters, Clarice Jackson of Agness, Barbara Schultz of Gold Beach and Ida Smith of Portland; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
