Francis X. Beals, 73, of 184 Victory Drive, died Friday at a local nursing home.
He was born in Holyoke, Mass., and lived in Ohio before spending most of his life in Franklin. Before his retirement in 1975, he worked at Webster Valve Co. for many years.
He leaves his wife, Betty Lou (Branch) Beals of Franklin; three sons, Frank Beals of Salisbury, Mass., Richard A. Beals of Amesbury, Mass., and Paul Lique of Wisconsin; four daughters, Daniele Beals of Franklin, Diana Sartelle of New York, Kathy Masse of Franklin and Patrica Wood of Newport R.I., his father, Raymond J. Beals Sr. of Boscawen; several grandchildren; a sister Ruth Douglas of Franklin; a brother, Kenneth Beals of Springfield, Mass., and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at Franklin Cemetery.
The Rev. Kathryn MacGregor, pastor of the Franklin United Methodist Church, officiated.
Calling hours were at the Thibault-Sargent Funeral Home, Franklin.
