Peter and his wife had seven children. Five of those children spent their adult lives in the United States. One son died in Ireland as a young man and the seventh child, who stayed in Ireland, sent several of her own children to the United States to live. Ties to the family remaining in Ireland remained strong. Visits back home were done regularly by everyone.
