Howard 'Hob' Brezee, 61, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hosptial in Wabasha, MN, on Sept. 9th, 2009 following a car accident.
Hob was born in Watertown, SD, October 30th, 1947. He attended school at Clear Lake, SD. He served in the US Navy for four years, and attended South Dakota State University. Hob married Arlys Stahl on July 27th, 1969 in Huron, SD. They moved to Rochester where he attended Rochester Community College. In 1970 he received a Master Barber License from Lee's Barber College in St. Paul, MN. He was employed for many years at The Barbers in Rochester and from 1986-2008 became owner and president of several Cost Cutters and City Looks franchises in Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Presently he was in sales at Eagle Bio-Fuels in Plainview, MN.
Hob was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was involved with the Byron Sportsman Club and also the Rochester Archery Club where he served as president for two years. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and traveling with his wife. Life was an adventure for him. Hob gave 110% to everything he did, whether it was working or visiting. His family and grandchildren were very important to him.
He is survived by his wife, Arlys of Rochester; sons, Jeff (Teri) of Byron, MN, and Jason (Lena) of Edina, MN; and five grandchildren, Hilary, Holly, Josie, Franklin, and Samuel. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Jack Stahl of York SC; and his brother, Tim Brezee of Tuscon, AZ; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 13th from 3pm-6pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour before services. Services will be held at Autumn Ridge Church in the Timothy Chapel, 3611 Salem Rd SW, Rochester, on Monday, Sept. 14 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Seaquist officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, Rochester with military honors provided by American Legion Post #92.
