Virginia (Jean) M. Sager, 88, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 at her home in Indian River.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Cross in the Woods Catholic Church. Fr. Mike Fowler, O.F.M. will celebrate the mass. Interment will be in Ohioville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, Monday, January 25, 2010 at Lintz Funeral Home in Indian River. A prayer service will be held at 7:00pm.
Jean was born February 24, 1921 in Detroit, MI. She was the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Klaft) Latarski. She grew up in Detroit where she attended school.
On Oct. 31, 1943 Jean married Herb Clements in Kansas City, MO. The couple made their home in Indian River, later moving to Roseville, MI. Herb preceded her in death in 1976.
On January 29, 1983 Jean married Bob Sager at Burt Lake. The couple made their home in Indian River. Bob preceded her in death in 1996. Jean continued to make her home in Indian River.
Jean was a founding member of the Cross in the Woods Catholic Parish in Indian River. She was also a member of the busy bee's and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.
Jean is survived by her children; Tom (Jane) Clements, Greg (Nancy) Clements, Herb (Vicki) Clements; Step Children, Scott (Suzie) Sager, Pam Sager; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her five siblings.
