WORLD WAR II VETERAN

Robert Louis "R. L." Everett, 68, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday in a local hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Hayes and Ira Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Everett was born Jan. 3, 1919, in Miller County, Ark. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a former member of Masonic Lodge No. 672 and was a Knight Templar, a Past patron of border Chapter No. 211 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist and a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Slaton Everett of Texarkana; two sons, Donald W. Everett of Bossier City, La., and Louis E. Everett of Texarkana; one brother, J. C. Everett of Maud, Texas; five sisters, Fern Taylor, Susie Lovett, Helen Weaver and Dorothy Harrison, all of Texarkana, and Betty DeRamcy of Wake Village, Texas; and four grandchildren.
