POQUOSON - Hugh Earnest Ball III, 45, a native of Virginia Beach and Poquoson resident the past six years, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010.
He was a Mechanical Engineer at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding, Newport News for the past 20 years, and was a member of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, Tabb. He loved boating, hunting and fishing.
Hugh is survived by his wife of 19 years, Denise S. Ball; his children, Deana, Garrett and Parker; his parents, Margaret and Ret. CMDR (USN) Hugh E. Ball Jr.; five sisters, Karen Macomber and husband, Bob, Carmen Waldman and husband, Dave, Michele Cape and husband, Ed, Margaret Zurschmit and husband, Bob, and Leslie Kampschmidt and husband, Olaf; mother and father-in-law, Delores and Charles Schillaci; brother-in-law, Paul Schillaci and wife, Jane; three nephews; and 11 nieces.
