Alpha Lovelace, a longtime resident of Stratford and San Francisco, who died Dec. 13 in San Francisco. She was 105 years old.
The Lovelace family had farmed in the Stratford area for many years.
Surviving are three daughters, Gladys Byrns of San Francisco, Thelma Balys of Torrance and Muriel Ashcraft of Nevada; two grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Her son Dick Lovelace died in 1981 and his wife Billie Lou continues to live in Stratford.
Alpha was married first to Albert Schoeneman on Dec. 10, 1903 in Jackson Co., Missouri. They had two daughters, Gladys Alberta (Schoeneman) Byrns, born in Colorado in 1906, and Thelma Amelia (Schoeneman) Balys, born in California in 1909.
Alpha appears to have been married around 1912 to Fred Muston, born in England in 1887. They had one daughter, Muriel (Muston) Ashcraft, born in Kings Co., California in 1917. Alpha and Fred were divorced before the 1920 Census.
Alpha married McClellan Lovelace after the death of his wife, Sarah, who died in 1921. They had one son, Richard Calvin Lovelace, born in Santa Barbara Co., California in 1925.
