Bio:
Adolph was the first son of Adolph and Minnie Ahrens. His mother passed away when he was 6. His father remarried and had four more children. Adolph married Millicent Ida Crandall November 02, 1937. They moved from Salamanca to Hornell and finally Almond, New York. He was employed as a trainsman for the Erie and Erie Lackawanna Railroad before his retirement in 1976. He was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church in Hornell.

He was predeceased by his parents: his wife, Millicent Ahrens on Jan. 5, 2009; his son, Bret Ahrens on August 16, 1989; and his sisters, Esther Johanna Ahrens on June 17, 1923; and Wilma Esther Choo on November 1, 1996.

At the age of 93, Adolph went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday at his home. The Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Hornell took care of the arrangements. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hillside Baptist Church, with Rev. Craig Brittingham officiating. Memorial contributions were suggested to be made to Hillside Baptist Church in Hornell or to Shepherds Ministry in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
