Birth: unknown
Death: unknown

The most imposing monument in the southeastern section of Arlington Cemetery was erected in 1926 as a memorial to some 200 early Dutch settlers of Hudson County. Their remains were interred here after being exhumed from the Old Bergen Cemetery in Jersey City. These colonists and their progeny had been members of the Old Bergen Dutch Reformed Church, (est. 1660), the oldest organized congregation west of the Hudson River. Their original resting place had been in a part of the Old Bergen burial ground which had been condemned on April 21, 1926 to make way for a road. Records may be obtained from the Old Bergen Church of Jersey City or from the Arlington Cemetery Association in Kearny.
