LEXINGTON - Jackie "Jack" Lee Winrotte, 71, died on the evening of Friday, Feb. 20, 2009. He was born October 29, 1937 in South Bend, Indiana. He was the beloved husband of Nancy for 28 ½ years. He is also survived by daughters, Jennifer Phalen (Mick), Stephanie Richardson (Nigel), as well as step-children, Michael Patrick (Jennifer), and Kristie Patrick. Grandchildren: Michael, Bethany, Hannah, Allie, Taylor, Sydnee and Brayden. Great-Grandchild: Josiah.

Jack served in the Air Force from 1955-1959, graduated from West Virginia State College, was a Systems Analyst and retired from SLED after 10 years of service.

Jack was a GOOD man, loved by all and most importantly, a great role model for others. Jack's personal relationship with Christ was very strong from childhood throughout his life. Jack loved his garden and measuring the rain. He measured his family and friends with even more love. He also loved playing golf, reading, old cars, "piddling around," and going to "junk stores." Jack was a great cook and wonderful cookie maker. He had a wonderful "spice for life." He lived life to its fullest with "vim and vigor." He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

A Memorial Service for Jackie "Jack" Winrotte will be held at 2p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
