Van Alstyne - Mrs. Frances Blythe, 78, died in her home in the Jamison Community at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at the Holloway Cemetery, at 3 p.m. Sunday under the direction of Fox-Fanning.
Mrs. Blythe was born December 2, 1858, at Ripley, Tippah Co., MS. She joined the Methodist Church when she was fifteen. H.P. Blythe who she married in 1874, died several years ago.
She is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Icy Enochs and Mrs. Mayme Crosby of Van Alstyne and Mrs. Mattie Ayers of Cushing, Okla; a son, J.H. Blythe of Howe; 24 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The alternative date of birth is December 2, 1857, per her headstone.
