Charles Wesley Buffington
C.W. Buffington, a pioneer citizen of Winona and Shannon County, died at his home in Winona on last Friday, after an illness of several months with tuberculosis. Mr. Buffington was in the livery, drug and grocery busines [sp] in Winona from the time the town was laid out until some eight years ago about which time he sold out his grocery store and engaged in buying and selling stock, which he followed as long as his health would permit. He leaves a widow, three daughters, several grand children and five brothers and a host of other relatives to mourn his loss. The remains were laid to rest in the old cemetery Saturday.
