Tyler loved his Pontiac Fiero. Purchased for $125.00 it wasn't much of a car but Tyler saw the possibilities and hoped to restore it. It was such an important part of his life once he cleaned it up he chose to have his senior portrait taken with it.
Shortly after that Tyler was diagnosed with cancer. Treatment was attempted however it quickly became apparent that he could spend the rest of his life in the hospital. Tyler chose to go home hoping to spend the time he had working on his car.
Given the task at hand and his deteriorating health most people would have given up. Tyler reached out to an internet group composed of other Fiero fans. The response was amazing. With in weeks the money and parts were donated and a team of 24 volunteers from around the country made their way to Frazee Minnesota.
With shop space supplied by a local automotive shop owner Tyler's car was rebuilt from the ground up into a show quality car in just 24 hours.
It started just a car, now it symbolizes the bravery Tyler showed and the light he brought into the life of everyone around him.
