BENOIT, DESIREE ANN (Dee Dee LaMantain) Desiree passed away on Friday, November 10, 2006, after a long and valorous battle with kidney disease. She was 49 years old and a native Californian, born in San Diego on March 12, 1957. Dee Dee graduated from Riverside Poly High School in 1975 and was a cheerleader for all her life. She was an over-achiever who went on to obtain her Bachelor's degree from Cal State San Bernardino and her Master's degree from the University of Redlands. Dee Dee was a successful businesswoman who worked many years for Burroughs Wellcome and its successors, including Glaxo SmithKline pharmaceuticals. When she retired, she was the district sales manager for neuro health for Southern California. Dee Dee was also active in many social, charitable and political organizations in Riverside. She was a past board member of Junior League and the Riverside Community Hospital Foundation. She was a sitting director on the Riverside Community Hospital Board at the time of her passing. Dee Dee enjoyed golf and belonged to the Victoria Club. She also enjoyed travel, fine wine and dining. Of all her accomplishments, Dee Dee's proudest was her beautiful daughter, Tiffany. Dee Dee is survived by her husband, Paul, daughter, Tiffany, her mother, Shirley LaMantain, brothers Richard LaMantain and Mike LaMantain, and sisters Colleen Radulski, Sandy Laprade and Annie Taylor. Memorial Services are scheduled for Friday, November 17, at 12 noon at Grove Community Church, 19900 Grove Community Drive, Riverside, 92508, 951-571-9090. A reception will follow at the Victoria Club.
