Faye "Maudie" Zeigler, age 97, of Coffeyville died Friday morning, April 23, 1999 at the Medicalodge in Coffeyville.

Zeigler was born August 16, 1901 in Elk City, Kan. To John and Louellen (Brown) Debo. She was raised in Elk City and graduated from the Elk City High School.

On August 10, 1923 Faye married Richard Arthur Zeigler in Nowata, Okla. And they made their home in Coffeyville. Richard preceded her in death August 3, 1952. Zeigler has lived in Coffeyville for over 75 years. In September of 1952 Faye started working as a cook for the Pig Stand in Coffeyville for 34 years until her retirement in 1986, she also worked for Huggins Bakery. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Coffeyville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and five brothers.

Survivors include nine sons; Lionel of Tulsa, John of Indianapolis, Ind., Donald of Altamont, Ill., Ronald of St. Louis, Mo., Dale of Omaha, Chester of Tulsa, Pinkston and Phillip both of Coffeyville and Gale of Tulsa; three daughters Emma Lou Burget of Omaha, Virginia Miller of Coffeyville, Caroline Demaski of Omaha; 41 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren and 35 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 26, 1999 at the Graves Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.

Visitation hours will be 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 1999 at the Graves Funeral Home in Coffeyville with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The family has suggested memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association and memorial contributions may be left at Graves Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
