Death: Oct. 1, 1923

She was a Delaware Indian.

Mrs. Henry Koerner died at her home near Fall Leaf very suddenly Monday afternoon and funeral services were conducted from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. Theodore Hauck, pastor of the St. Paul's Evangelical church. Mrs. Mary S. Koerner, nee Ziegler, was born at Fall Leaf, Kansas, January 26, 1873. She continued to live at the same place throughout her whole life. In 1893 she was married to Henry Koerner. To this union six children were born, five boys and one girl, all of which survive the mother. The health of Mrs. Koerner had been somewhat impaired for a number of months. Some time ago it became necessary to remove her to the Memorial hospital at Lawrence. As a result of the treatment received there she had apparently recovered much of her former strength and was again permitted to come home. Last Monday afternoon without much warning she quietly passed away. Acute dialation of the heart was pronounced as the cause of her death. Besides her six children: Arthur, Homer, Carl, Alice, Edmund and Louis, her deeply grieved husband and aged mother mourn her untimely loss. A host of sympathetic friends also offer their sincere sympathy to the bereaved. The following members of the St. Paul's choir sang for the occasion: Misses Lotta Ziesenis, Alma Myer, Lois Fuhs, Elfreda Schlegel; Mesdames Hattie Woodard, Theodore Hauck, Mrs. George Gerstenberger and Rev. Hauck. Miss Pearl Gabriel was the organist. Two selections were sung at the house: "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and the favorite hymn of the deceased, "In the Sweet Bye-and-Bye". At the grave the choir sang "Nearer My God to Thee". Interment was made in the Fall Leaf Cemetery.

Their other child:
