Son of Charles Rufus Ward and Margaret Elizabeth James. GG-grandson of Bryant Ward married to Nancy Ward (Ghi-gau) of the Cherokee Nation. Noted person in Cherokee history. I was told the death year was mistakenly switched on him and his father Charles Rufus Ward. Married to Miss Ada Henson on 23 Sept. 1915 - Hardin County. I have been told that she is interred in Nichols Cemetery, near Marked Tree, Arkansas. When I visited the cemetery several years ago I could find no marker. Also, I was informed by an aunt now deceased he was married a 2nd time to Miss Mamie Wilkerson on 13 Nov. 1921 in Hardin County, Tennessee. Source of marrige is ancestry.com.
