Mrs. Ada Jones, 86, was born April 30, 1914 in Florence, South Carolina, to William and Lulla Jones.
Mrs. Ada Scott came to Clinton Twp., MI with her husband Mr. Napoleon (Scottie) Scott in the early 1940's.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, there she served on the Pastor's Aid.
The later years in the 1980's she became a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church where Rev. Bullock was her Sunday School Teacher. On February 9, 1971 she married Mr. John Davis in holy matrimony who preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis was a domestic worker, she loved children.
Mrs. Ada Davis had twenty-one sisters and brothers, all preceded her in death. She departed this life on May 21, 2000 at 12:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ Care Center.
She leaves to cherish in her loving memory her devoted nephew Samual (Janice) Mitchell, five great-nephews, Gregory Monk, Jimmy Thomas of North Carolina, Lemuel, Damon, Courtney Mitchell all of Clinton Twp., MI, a great-niece, Jaunita Cribbs, nine great great-nieces and nephews, four god children Danetta and Daryln Taylor and Lillian and Donna Banks, one brother-in-law, Anthony Davis, three sisters-in-law Betty Holmes, Beachie Davis of Clinton Twp., MI and Callie jones of New Haven, CT, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Service Held Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. at Greater Morning Star Mission Baptist Church, 87 Robertson, Mount Clemens, Michigan, Officiating Minister Reverend Kevin E. Stafford.
Arrangements Entrusted To United Memorial Funeral Home 74 Dickinson, Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
Interment Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton Township, MI.
