Waneda Cash, 71, was born March 26, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to the union of the late Whitely and Leola Davis. She was the eighth of nine children born to this union.
Mrs. Cash received her formal education in the Clintondale Public School System in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
In 1948 she married Charles Cash. To this union four children were born.
Waneda joined Alpha and Omega Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Zola M. Robinson. She was a member of Usher Board #2 for a number of years. She was a faithful and financial member who attended every Sunday until her health prevented her from doing so.
She was a devoted homemaker, and her love and devotion to her family was very evident in her conversation and interactions with her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was a very unassuming woman, but to know her, was to love her.
Mrs. Cash made her transition on Monday June 21, 1999 at 7:00 a.m. in Mercy Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Charles Cash; one son Kevin Cash, three daughters: Lenora Johnson, Kimberly Cash and Debra Harris; two sons-in-law; Robert Johnson and André Harris; twenty-three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters: Bette Holmes and Delorse Lane; two brothers: Anthony Davis and Doc Davis; one sister-in-law: Hester Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
