She was born in Biwabik to Edwin E. and Anna M. Carlson Strom and graduated from Ely Memorial High School. She was a 1932 graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing. She was a nurse and also worked in that capacity with the American Red Cross. She was a member of the American Swedish Society and Women's Christian Temperance Union. She was a former member of Kenwood Lutheran Church, Lakeview Covenant Church, and Zion Lutheran Church of Superior.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Frederick William Semerau, who died Dec. 5, 1981.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. Bundy; son, Roger; sister, Louise E. Helbacka; a special friend, Lois Johnson; and three grandchildren.
