Michael Anthony Gbur, age 14, of South Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in his home. He was born February 5, 1998, to Drs. Charles and Carolyn (Smith) Gbur and was a fun loving 8th grade student at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. Mikey was looking forward to baseball and his freshman year at St. John's Jesuit High School. He was an accomplished video gamer, a certified scuba diver, loved spending time on the water, the ski slopes, and traveling with his family. Mikey was an angel in an un-angelic world. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. Surviving are his parents, Drs. Charles and Carolyn Gbur; siblings, Alexandria, Charles III, Gina, and Delaney; grandparents, Dr. Robert and Mary Smith and Mrs. Virginia Gbur, and aunt, Lisa (James) Moran. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Gbur Sr. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m., where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 9:15 a.m. in the mortuary followed by the funeral mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Michael A. Gbur Scholarship at St. John's Jesuit High School for students of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School.
