Obituary: LINDALE
Robert L. Cline, 90 died at 3:45 a.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Irene Fleming, in Swan. He had been ill for a week.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church under the direction of York-Caudle Funeral Home.
Susrvivors are two sons, Claude Cline of Lindale and W. W. Cline of Longview; four daughters, Mrs. Fleming, Swan; Mrs. Blanche Stann (should be Spann), Longview; Mrs. Helen McDowell, Mineola; Mrs. Bonnie Gatling, San Francisco ( Bonnie came to live with the Cline family at a young age after her mother died, she was of no blood relationship) The Cline family cared for her as their own, and she continued to correspond with the family even as an adult); 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
Mr. Cline was born in Georgia and had lived around the Lindale community for 52 years. He was a retired farmer.

They had one more son who died as an infant. We have one photo of him, he was born about 1899, his name was Leonard, but I'm not sure where he is buried.
