Mr. Blalock was born November 27, 1914 in Pickens County, Georgia but had lived most of his life in Gainesville. He retired from Hall County Sanitation and was one of the oldest members of Temple Baptist Church. Mr. Blalock was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lula Mae Morris Blalock and his daughter Barbara Bestwick. Mr. Blalock is survived by his step-daughters and their husbands Linda and Kermit Evans of Gainesville, Mary and Homer Howington of Braselton and Pamela and Bill Vaughn of Waycross; step-son and his wife Jerry and Julie Edwards of Flowery Branch; step-son Larry Edwards of Gainesville; grandson Ashley Bestwick and 13 step-grandchildren.
