Bert Andrew Bruecher, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother of Rosenberg, passed away at the age of 46. Bert was born April 30, 1953 in Houston, Texas and attended Sharpstown High School and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Bert was a devoted four year member of the Village of Pleak Volunteer Fire Department. And was E.M.T. certified. He possessed a generous giving and loving spirit and received great pleasure from serving his community in a volunteer capacity. Bert was employed as a senior engineer with Ohio based Liebert Corporation for 17 years, serving in management for five years in the Houston office. Bert is survived by wife: Patti Ann Bruecher, three daughters Lauren Elizabeth Bruecher, 22, Sarah Duerr Bruecher, 18, Olivia Ruth Bruecher, 12 and granddaughter Kailee Ann Bruecher; 10 months; parents William H. (Bill) Bruecher, Jr. and Patricia (Pat) Bruecher of Houston; Brother Howie Bruecher of Austin and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Lee Edward Bruecher. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Village of Pleak Fire Department. Pallbearers are: Tommy Waldman, Geoffrey Dawson, Eddie Wills, Jimmie Dean, Aubrey Ritch, and Robert Shulte. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday November 17, 1999 at the Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home 12800 Westheimer @ Dairy Ashford. Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 18, 1999 at 11:30 am, at the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John Lockart officiating. Friends who wish to make a donation may choose from the following: The Bert Bruecher Memorial Fund at Citizens National Bank P.O. Box 20, Bellaire, Texas 77402; A donationin Bert's name to Texas A&M Fire Training Academy in College Station, Texas; or the Lee Bruecher Memorial Scholarship Fund, Texas Tech College, 3801 Campus Drive, Waco, Texas 76705 Attn: Mike Haley.
