Caesar, little more than a kitten, had been tossed in a dumpster behind a 7/11 market one rainy night. My nephew Morgan heard his cry, fished him out of the dumpster and brought him home. He was told to take the cat elsewhere; he pleaded for time. A little time was granted to find a home for the cat that was annointed with the majestic name of Caesar. Caesar never went anywhere. Morgan grew up and moved away, but Caesar ruled the house. He loved bags. He loved boxes, big or little, it didn't matter. He was affectionate, even-tempered, and like most cats, knew no boundaries. He would rub alongside anyone, walk across anyone, and make himself at home in any available lap. He became like a mother-cat to two abandoned tabbies, Henry and Chino, licking and grooming them whenever he pleased. Caesar was blessed with long life, living to 18 years. Just before he passed, his paw was pressed in a little clay heart which is kept on the mantle in memory of an absolutely great cat! Hail Caesar!
