Ethan Burrell Obituary
Ethan Michael Burrell of Elmira, NY, went to be with the angels on January 2, 2004. He was born on January 20, 2003 in Syracuse, NY, with a serious heart condition. In his 11 months, Ethan put up a courageous struggle through two heart operations. He is survived by his loving parents, Michael T. McCartney and Stephanie A. Burrell; brother, Austin M. Sexton; maternal grandmother, Pam Burrell with Keith Miles of Elmira Heights; maternal grandfather, James Burrell of Elmira; paternal grandparents, Peggy and Carl McCartney of Elmira; paternal grandfather, Darrell Grant of Elmira; maternal great-grandparents, David and Gerry Lap and Jim Burrell, all of Horseheads; paternal great grandparents, Clinton McCartney Sr. of Elmira and Linda Hagg of Odessa: uncle, Jason Burrell, aunt, Michelle Grant: several great aunts, great uncles and cousins. Private family services will be held for Ethan with burial to folllow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements by McInerny Funeral Home.

I have been with his Mom to the Cemetery. His death is so hard on her. There is a lot of pain beneath that smile. Everyone who is a parent who has lost a child knows that type of smile.
Ethan was my GG Nephew and he was the sweetest boy. He endured so much and I am thankful to God that Ethan does not suffer anymore.
