Robert Clifford Cain, 49, Topeka, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1996, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Cain was a self-employed carpenter and contractor.
He was born March 8, 1947, at Lufkin, Texas, the son of Jake and Billie Joyce Johnson Cain. He lived in Topeka the last 17 years.
He was married to Jessie Nell Bingham on July 4, 1970, in Houston. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Tina Gallier, Lawrence; a son Jason C. Cain, Topeka; three stepsons, Howard Spacek, Donny Wallace and Michael Wallace, all of Houston; his mother Billie J. Beeghly, Topeka; three sisters, Linda Steele, Janice Semple and Julie Tostado, all of Topeka; a brother Michael Cain, Topeka; and 11 grandchildren.
Committal services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Topeka Cemetery. Mr. Cain will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Parker-Price Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert C. Cain Memorial Fund and sent in care of Jessie N. Cain, 1424 S.E. 23rd, Topeka, 66605.
